Good health is everyone’s wish and is the core element of the national competitiveness which determines the quality of the human capital.
That is why many countries in the world are making great efforts to realize a healthy society.
As the National Health Promotion Act is established in Korea in 1995, our efforts to realize a healthy society kicked into high gear.

Korea Health Promotion Institute was founded in January 2011 for the purpose of integrating and systematically promoting health related works which had been scattered among various institutions. With the establishment of this new organization, we will grow into a professional institution to take the initiative in improving national health. For this purpose, we will reinforce the health capacity of citizens and establish a healthy environment at schools, enterprises, local communities, etc. so citizens can lead healthy live. We will also make efforts to enhance the effectiveness of the Health Promotion projects through close networking with civil groups as well as through the evaluation of the research activities on the health promotion projects.

We will continue to make our efforts to grow into the most representative professional healthy promotion institution. We look forward to your continued support.
